Normally if a barrier is stuck down its due to an electrical or safety failure. 

Turn off the system and manually open your barrier, and give us a call on 0333 5776227

A barrier stuck open can be caused by a fault on the safety systems. If you have photocells give them a wipe over as dirt can block the signal. 

Make sure any greenery is cut back so that the photocells are not covered. 

Make sure no vehicles are over the exit loop. 

Unfortunately, inpatient drivers can cause an amount of damage. 

If you’re lucky it’s just a boom replacement, if not it can be a completely new system.

Safety is paramount in our eyes. We will not install or repair an unsafe system. 

Basic safety requirements are a safety loop and a set of photocells under the boom. 

However, there are lots of additional safety equipment that can be added to give that extra piece of mind.

Fitting laser detection is the ultimate safety system. The barrier will not move if a vehicle or person is within the field of operation. 

Other simple safety items can be: - 

 Traffic lights to show its safe to pass through the barrier. 

Fencing to keep pedestrians away from the barrier.
